"I'm sure Apple is really loving this. Seems like a resourceful hacker has gotten Windows Media Center Edition 2005 up and running on an Intel-based Apple iMac, and no more than a week after someone successfully dual-booted Windows and OS X on the newly "Intel-ized" iMacs (via Matt Goyer). Minus an error that said the video card was not supported by MCE (which can be ignored), the interface runs just fine.

There are a few gotchas, though. Since MCE 2005 uses 2 CDs, and there's no manual disc eject on the iMac, you have to create a DVD with the MCE cd's burned onto it. Also, at this point, the driver support is suspect at best and you could have problems using a USB TV Tuner with the unit. Also, the built-in infared port on the iMac doesn't appear to work with Windows XP yet, so you'll not be able to use the Apple remote with MCE just yet. So, without TV support or solid drivers, is putting MCE on an iMac worth the effort? Probably not, but it is cool nonetheless and is probably making Steve Jobs a little angrier than normal."
